In 1994 in graduated from Dordt College with a degree in History and Political Science. Soon after graduation I began my teaching career in Education. I moved to Budapest, Hungary and began teaching Conversational English, and I have been in the classroom every since. My teaching has led me to many different settings and schools. I have been teaching for 17+ years, and I joined the Ontario Christian staff in 2008. I have really enjoyed my time here, and I am looking forward to seeing how God will be use me in the up coming year to further His kingdom.
My wife Larissa and I moved to Southern California in 2008. We have enjoyed living here and really feel at home here. We both enjoy traveling and learning about the LA area, and exploring new places. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and finding new book stores to browse through. I am also an avid sports fan. I love watching hockey, COLLEGE football, and baseball. Romans 8: 38-39 are my favorite verses!
I believe that I have that my role as a teacher is not only to educate the students that God has led to my class, but also model and explain what it means to be a Christian in today’s world.. I know that each child that God brings into my classroom is there by HIS divine plan, and he has called me to lead and teach each one, and help them become a disciple of The Kingdom.
