Professional Biography
I graduated from California State University at Fullerton in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. I taught general music, choir, and band in the Chino Unified School district for 8 years. I began teaching music at Ontario Christian in 1997.
Personal Biography
I have been married to David Stienstra since 1987 and we have two children. My favorite activity is to go camping with my family and friends.
Philosophical Biography
Throughout the Bible, we see many instances of God’s people singing and dancing before Him in praise. God tells us in His word that He delights in hearing the praises of His people. When David was a child tending his father’s sheep, he passed the time playing his harp and singing songs to God. Psalm 27:6 says “I will sing and make music to the Lord.” It is my privilege to teach your children how to bring glory and honor to our Lord through their gifts and talents in music.
