Personal Biography
I grew up in the Inland Empire and attended Ontario Christian Schools and was involved in visual arts, music, and drama throughout my youth. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling, drawing, painting, reading, music, visiting art galleries and museums, watching films, and attending live theater. I love the arts, and I am very blessed to be able to teach art here at Ontario Christian.
Philosophical Biography
I believe in the triune God who created heaven and earth and every living thing, who loves sinful man, who judges sin, and who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for sin to make redemption possible. I believe that God reveals Himself through creation and through His Word, the Bible. I believe that we have an opportunity to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus when we accept His gift of salvation. As a Christian educator, I strive to present my subject from a Christian perspective, help students to develop discernment and a Christian worldview, and demonstrate God’s love for my students. As an art educator, I strive to enstill in students an appreciation for the arts, encourage them in the development of their skills, and help them to recognize that their creative abilities are a special gift from God and one of the ways that we are His image-bearers.
