Professional Biography
I graduated in 2007 from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a degree in Business Education along with endorsements in both middle school education and coaching. I began my teaching career at Ontario Christian in 2007. I keep pretty busy teaching 1st, 5th, 6th, and 7th-grade computers, and 7th grade Pre-Algebra. I am the Varsity Softball and Middle School flag football coach and serve as Co-Middle School Athletic Director.
Personal Biography
I was born and raised on a small farm in northwest Iowa. I was an only child and lived on the farm with my Dad who farmed the land, and my Mom who was employed as a secretary at the public high school in Ellsworth, MN. I completed my K-12 education in the George-Little Rock school district where I graduated in 2003. I enjoy spending my free time golfing and enjoy sports in any capacity. I am a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and also enjoy cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. I married my beautiful wife Christa Huisman on November 16, 2014.
Philosophical Biography
I have a strong passion for children and really feel that the middle school age is where students are really molded and lay the foundation for the rest of their life. I feel really blessed to be a part of Christian Education and spend every day trying to grow students into future Christian Leaders. I feel that Christian Education is an opportunity to give students a basis by which they live their lives and how they influence their world. I am blessed to be given the opportunity to impact lives through God’s calling in my life!
