Ontario Christian School Board December Notes

OC Families,

ā€œFor unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.ā€ — Luke 2:11

It’s almost Christmas, the time of year where we wait in anticipation to celebrate the birth of Christ. In a world that is filled with distractions and often feels hurried and uncertain, this time of year invites us to slow down, look toward the manger, and remember the incredible gift God has given us in His Son, Jesus Christ. Christmas reminds us to refocus on the true hope that came quietly, humbly, and perfectly in the form of a child. Jesus’ birth is God’s promise fulfilled—light breaking into darkness and grace meeting us where we are.

May this season fill your homes with peace, your lives with joy, and your hearts with renewed wonder at God’s faithfulness. On behalf of Ontario Christian Schools, I wish you and your family a merry and blessed Christmas. May the joy of Christ be your strength and song in the year ahead.

Thank you for partnering with us in the mission of nurturing young people to grow in the wisdom, truth and love of Christ.

Blessings,
Kevin Vos
Superintendent
Ontario Christian School

Message from OCPA President

Merry Christmas OC Families! It’s hard to believe that Christmas break is almost here! There has been a lot going on this month with OCPA, and I wanted to take a minute and say thank you to all of you for your support! The wreath fundraiser was well-loved as it has been for years. We couldn’t make that possible without the support of all of you!

OCPA also had the pleasure of hosting our annual staff Christmas Luncheon at both campuses this week. It was so great to see the smiling faces and full bellies of the people who pour so much into our children and also our community. Thank you to all of the volunteers who were able to help serve and for all of the yummy baked goods that were donated! They were all appreciated and loved very much!

As we pause during this holy season, may the wonder of the manger fill your homes with peace that surpasses understanding. May the Christ Child, who left the glory of heaven to dwell among us, remind us that the greatest gifts cannot be wrapped. They are the moments we share, the kindness we extend, and the love we reflect of the One who first loved us.

From the bottom of my heart, Thank You for making Ontario Christian such a radiant light in our community. I am honored to serve alongside you as we raise the next generation to know, Love, and serve our Savior

Many Blessings,

Amy Etienne

Join our community of skillful and dynamic professionals who demonstrate personal knowledge of God’s word in their work to provide the best quality of Christian Education. Ontario Christian staff and faculty lay a biblical foundation for our Christ-centered mission of Growing Christian Leaders.

We were excited to begin the month of December with five wonderful Preschool Christmas programs as we celebrate this joyful season together. There is nothing sweeter than hearing little voices sing about baby Jesus and His love for us—it fills our hearts with joy and reminds us why we celebrate. Our classes will also enjoy festive Christmas parties in their classrooms before we head into Christmas break. In chapel, students are learning the beautiful story of baby Jesus—His birth in Bethlehem, the angels appearing to the shepherds, and the wisemen traveling to worship Him. ā€œFor unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is givenā€¦ā€ (Isaiah 9:6) reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas. We are excited to have one of the 6th grade classes give our chapel lesson on Thursday, December 18. We are praying that all of our preschool families enjoy a joyful, peaceful, and blessed Christmas season!

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Jodi at the preschool office. 909.983.2420 or jvandragt@ocschools.org
