OC Families,

Welcome back from Spring/Easter Break! As we return to our routines and prepare for the sprint to the finish, I am taking a moment to reflect on the gift that Easter represents. We live in a world where people always seem to be chasing happiness. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, Easter reminds us that happiness is temporary while joy is eternal.

The reason: Happiness is connected to what is happening. Joy is connected to what’s happened. I heard a pastor make that statement one time, and it really convicted me. As Christians, we will always face trials. If we focus on being happy, our level of happiness will fluctuate based on the current moment. On the other hand, we can have joy regardless of our circumstances because of what Jesus did for us, what God is doing for us, and what God will do for us. So whatever difficult or challenging situation we find ourselves in currently, it can be redeemed by God’s grace and bring us joy.

May we all have a joy-filled end to the school year.

Sincerely,
Kevin Vos
Superintendent
Ontario Christian School

Over the past years, it has become an OC tradition to auction off front-row seats for various events, including Graduation, Promotions, K-12th Christmas Program, and Grandparents Day, with the mindset of raising funds for our Impact Fund to support the mission of OC. We are excited to announce that our online auction is returning, offering front-row seats at events for the current school year and throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Starting at 8:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026, items will be available for bidding through Charity Auctions Today. All proceeds will be directed to the Impact Fund toward our operating budget at OC.

Bidding will close on May 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. If you have any questions about the online auction, please contact Nickole Vander Dussen, Director of Development and Advancement, at nvanderdussen@ocschools.org or call 909-984-1756, ext. 1143.
