Ontario Christian School Board November Notes

OC Families,

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of Ontario Christian School. Your presence in our community is a blessing that we do not take for granted.

This year, we have seen God’s faithfulness in so many ways with new families joining our school, students growing in wisdom and grace, faculty pouring their hearts into Christ-centered teaching, and a community that continues to live out the Gospel together. Our mission to partner with families to raise up students who love the Lord and serve others has never been more important, and it is a privilege to walk this journey with each of you.

In a world filled with distractions and noise, Thanksgiving reminds us to slow down, reflect, and rejoice in the goodness of God. As the apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18:

ā€œRejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.ā€

We give thanks for the privilege of being part of a school that proclaims Christ, shapes young hearts and minds, and stands firm on the foundation of God’s truth. May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, blessings, and the presence of Christ.

With gratitude and grace,
Kevin Vos
Superintendent
Ontario Christian School

We ended November with joyful Thanksgiving parties where students shared what they are thankful for. They made festive turkey and pilgrim hats, enjoyed yummy snacks, and talked about how God has blessed us with so many wonderful things. As we move into December, our chapel stories will focus on the beautiful birth of our Savior. ā€œFor unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.ā€ — Luke 2:11. We are excited to celebrate this special season with our students and share the hope and joy it brings.
