Psychology
Psychology is designed to offer an opportunity for senior students to learn more about themselves through the investigation and evaluation of various theories of behavior, developmental stages, personality types, and influences upon personality. Psychologists’ theories of behavior are examined from a biblical base. The developmental stages and personality types are examined with an appreciation for the uniqueness God has given to each person. Students will conduct investigations into case studies and examine current issues in psychology. Students will create a video project that will assist in developing a connection with technology and concepts in psychology. There will be guest speakers such as current psychologists/therapists and alumni that return to OC to discuss struggles and highlights when they attended Ontario Christian School. Furthermore, the class examines psychological principles and perspectives with an emphasis on adolescence.
