Creative Writing
Creative writing enables the student to gain a familiarity and ease with writing skills, to grow in selfĀ expression and creativity, and to promote a biblical response to fine art through reading, peer editing, and various genres of writing. Projects are developed centering on writing as a process of prewriting, drafting, feedback, revising, and rewriting (and performance). Writing experimentation and analysis of professional writing will be incorporated as well with prose, poetry, and scriptwriting being the main focus areas, culminating in a 50+ page portfolio by the end of the semester. This course may incorporate participation in the annual āNight of the Knightingaleā, Talent Show, and other school events but may not be offered each year.
