Ontario Christian School provides a full-time school counselor who seeks to empower our unique and diverse student body to reach its potential through a comprehensive school counseling program that supports all student’s academic, social/emotional, and career/college goals.
K-8 Counseling Department Mission
Ontario Christian Counseling Department partners with students and parents to enhance student learning in academic development, college planning, career aspirations, and personal/social growth. The Ontario Christian Counseling program adheres to the American School Counseling Association National Standards, but adds an additional dimension to provide Biblically-based guidance and spiritual development.

Get to Know Mrs. Powell
Professional Biography
I earned a bachelorās degree in Social Work from Colorado State University in 2003 and also earned a masterās degree in School Counseling from UNC in 2006. I went back to school in 2007 to earn a masterās degree in Education from the University of Phoenix and hold a Multiple Subject California Credential as well as a PPS credential.Ā
Personal Biography
I have been happily married to my ābetter halfā Grant Powell since 2000 and we have two wonderful children. I love my local community and attend Crosspoint Church in Chino, CA.
Philosophical Biography
I believe God has given me the gift to educate and inspire our youth, and besides having a great passion for this, I know it is truly my purpose! I believe in praising God for all the blessings he gives. I thank him for working at Ontario Christian where educators and families work in community together to educate our students while giving God the glory that he deserves. I feel blessed to be here and look forward to a wonderful and fulfilling academic year.
