Good Afternoon OC Families!
Can you believe it’s already October? Well, we have been busy settling into a routine and I am so very proud of all the hard work the students have demonstrated this quarter. I believe God’s Word in Thessalonians that tells us,
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” (Thessalonians 5:11)
One of my favorite parts of being a school counselor is encouraging students and families to keep going and keep striving. Quarter 2 is just around the corner, and together, we got this!
This month’s Counselor Tidbits NewsletterĀ has a quick welcoming message with some information about bullying prevention month and our annual Unity Day Celebration (10/20/2021). As well, you will find some important dates to add to your calendar and some resourceful articles that I hope you get a chance to peruse at your leisure.
Speaking of UNITY DAY, I wanted to give you a quick heads up that Elementary Students are welcomed to wear orange shirts and accessories on that day, but must wear UNIFORM bottoms. However, middle school students are allowed to wear jeans on UNITY DAY with their orange shirts and accessories.
Blessings to you all,
Mrs. Powell
