Personal Biography
I was born and raised in San Diego’s East County and lived there for twenty years before relocating to the area I now call home. After attending APU where I met my wife Joyce, we settled in the area and have most recently called Ontario our home for the past ten years. Joyce is also teaching at OC in a fourth grade classroom. Together we raise four boys and currently three of them attend Ontario Christian as well. When we are not on campus we enjoy spending time outdoors. Some of our favorite things to do are camping, hiking, fishing, and taking the boat out for some waterskiing and wakeboarding. As a family we attend Ontario United Reformed Church where I have served as both a Deacon and Elder.
Philosophical Biography
I am a firm believer in Christian education and the way in which it can build up the child to view God and His handiwork in all facets of our lives. My favorite scripture comes from Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” This verse is always on my heart and my goal as an educator is not only to lead the students in my discipline, but hopefully along the way I can be a mentor that helps lead them down the narrow road and into the small gate.
