The school is a nonprofit, independent educational service, owned and directed by an association of parents and friends of Christian education. The school is an extension of the home. The school is founded on a Reformed/Presbyterian philosophy of education, but serves an interdenominational constituency from approximately 300 Christian and Catholic churches.

Ontario Christian School has approximately 1,564 students in grades preschool through twelve coming from many parts of San Bernardino County. The school offers a liberal arts program including band, choirs, drama, and art. Extracurricular activities include athletics, student leadership, clubs, and educational trips. Ontario Christian offers a challenging curriculum taught by a strong team of certified, caring teachers.

Ontario Christian School opened in 1944 with grades kindergarten through eight. A dedicated giving community has made possible both campuses to have modern attractive buildings and facilities. The elementary campus, located on Euclid Avenue, is 11 acres holds the pre-kindergarten and grades kindergarten through eight. The high school campus, located on Philadelphia Street, consists of 25 acres for grades nine through twelve.
